Role Summary

The Senior Business / System Analyst will act as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving the analysis, design, and delivery of scalable capital markets solutions. The role requires deep domain expertise across front, middle, and back‑office systems, strong regulatory knowledge, and hands‑on experience across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities  Business & System Analysis

• Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Perform gap analysis between current systems and future‑state requirements.
• Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process optimization.

Capital Markets Domain Expertise

• Apply deep understanding of capital markets workflows including:
  • Trading (front office)
  • Clearing and settlement (middle and back office)
  • Risk management and regulatory reporting
• Ensure system solutions comply with global regulatory frameworks such as:
  • MiFID II
  • Dodd-Frank
  • Basel III
  • SEBI

Solution Design & Delivery

• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and QA teams to design scalable and robust solutions.
• Support the full project lifecycle from initiation and design through development, testing, and deployment.
• Contribute to solution reviews and ensure alignment with business and compliance objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Act as a primary liaison between business users, technology teams, and external vendors.
• Facilitate requirement workshops, design walkthroughs, and stakeholder presentations.
• Provide regular progress updates and manage expectations with senior management.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Define testing strategies in alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and review test scenarios and test cases.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate defect resolution.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet agreed business outcomes and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10–15 years of experience as a Business Analyst or System Analyst in the Capital Markets domain.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Front‑office, middle‑office, and back‑office systems
  • Trading, settlement, clearing, and risk platforms
• Proven expertise in:
  • Requirements documentation
  • Process modeling
  • Data analysis
• Hands‑on experience with industry tools including:
  • Visio
  • JIRA
  • Confluence
  • SQL
  • Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud‑based financial systems and digital transformation initiatives.
• Working knowledge of:
  • FIX protocol
  • SWIFT messaging
  • Market data feeds
• Professional certifications are a strong plus:
  • CBAP
  • CFA
  • FRM
  • PMP
