Job Title: Sr. Accountant – Furniture Import Business
 Location: Ameerpet, Hyderabad

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial operations for our furniture import business. The role involves handling accounting functions related to imports, vendor payments, taxation, and inventory accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
•    Maintain day-to-day accounting entries (AP, AR, General Ledger)
•    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
•    Handle bank reconciliations and cash flow management
•    Monitor expenses and ensure cost control
Import & Compliance
•    Manage accounting for import transactions (purchase entries, freight, duties, etc.)
•    Coordinate with logistics/customs agents for documentation
•    Verify and process import invoices, BOE (Bill of Entry), and shipping documents
•    Ensure compliance with import regulations and GST norms
Taxation
•    Handle GST filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)
•    Ensure TDS deductions and filings
•    Assist in audits and tax assessments
Inventory & Costing
•    Maintain inventory records and valuation
•    Track landed cost of imported furniture
•    Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams
Vendor & Client Coordination
•    Manage accounts payable and receivable
•    Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Follow up on payments and collections
Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) / Finance
•    CA Inter / CMA (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience
•    3–6 years of accounting experience
•    Prior experience in import/export or trading business is highly preferred
 Skills Required
•    Strong knowledge of accounting principles
•    Experience with Tally / ERP systems
•    Good understanding of GST and import documentation
•    Proficiency in MS Excel
•    Attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Skills
•    Experience in manufacturing, Retail or trading industry
•    Knowledge of international vendor transactions and forex handling
•    Handling a small team
